Mama Shelter

At the upscale Hollywood hotel Mama Shelter, the restaurant's motto is "just way mama used to cook it." When you approach the hotel lobby, you are met with a bar on your left, a few tables on your right, and entertainment in the form of a futsal table, TVs, and more all around you. However, one could almost claim that the restaurant is Mama Shelter. It's the ideal spot to get a quick breakfast—perhaps some chilaquiles or potato latkes with smoked salmon—or pay them a visit for brunch (Sat & Sun, 7am-3pm), which offers a similar menu in addition to heartier options like fried chicken and a Wagyu burger.

She brings together businesspeople and dancehall DJs mamamoji, rhinestone cowboys and Sunset Strip rockers mamamoji, paint-splattered artists and well-heeled designers. The hotel is a short distance from the Walk of Fame mamamoji and several shops, so it's right in the thick of things while still managing to maintain its cool, collected demeanor.
