The Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel
The Polo Lounge is an L.A. institution and Mecca for the power lunch set, but you'll find as many denizens here for breakfast and brunch (Sun 11am-4pm, $79 per person) as well. On Sundays, the idyllic, pink-hued restaurant is decked out with a live jazz band and enough booze-filled libations (Bellini or Kir would be the order for the sophisticated diner) to fill until happy hour.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are also offered every day, and if you're dining alone, a waiter will be pleased to hand you a copy of Variety or The Hollywood Reporter to read while you eat. However, if you're not really a "brunch person," rest assured that this establishment actually caters to everyone. The bar offers a sizable cocktail menu for late-night libations to a dressed-up clientele (you'll probably see some famous faces here) who enjoy live piano music. Try the delicious chocolate soufflé in the Polo Lounge for the ideal nightcap.
You'll undoubtedly find your Sunday brunch at The Polo Lounge to be very glitzy even if you're not a Hollywood VIP trying to cut a deal over your eggs Benedict. There may not be a finer location to enjoy lemon ricotta pancakes or a frittata than on the lovely outside patio of The Polo Lounge, despite the fact that it is a little on the cheesy side (spotless white tablecloths with live jazz music). The bar offers beverages for late-night consumption.
