Mango Taiyo No Tamago

Taiyo No Tamago mango is a fruit known as the egg of the sun, grown mainly in Miyazaki Prefecture and distributed throughout Japan. In 2017, these two mangoes were sold at an auction in Japan for a record $3,744, a hefty price tag in part due to the caregiving efforts of farmers, which has replaced collecting Manually harvest mangoes by letting them fall naturally, ensuring proper ripeness and high-fiber mango flesh.

The Taiyo No Tamago mango originated in Florida in the 1940s as Irwin. Today, this fruit is widely grown and costs around 50 USD, a more reasonable level price for diners who want to enjoy this fruit.
