Manna
Manna, an Inner Sunset tradition and, arguably, one of the greatest venues for superb Korean food in the Bay Area, requires advance notice or a long wait. What distinguishes Manna from the competition? For starters, their fantastic kimchi — the right blend of heat and funk, salt and crunch will have you wanting for more to take home and use on everything — will have you begging for more to take home and use on everything. Their spicy-hot tofu stew (ideal for a cold San Francisco night), vegetarian and seafood pancakes, and kimchi fried rice are among the other standouts. Order extra of the latter to store in the fridge – it's one of the greatest hangover cures around.
The restaurant offers traditional Korean BBQ meals like galbi, as well as a few house specialties like its seven-minute jjigae (stew) and spicy yeoltan bulgogi. If you're having trouble finding a place to eat, this eatery can usually be found in any entertainment zone for a quick bite.
