May improve your mood and memory
It is normal to feel stressed and anxious from time to time. Though research on rosemary tea is limited, data suggests that drinking and breathing components in rosemary tea may help enhance your mood and improve your memory. One research indicated that ingesting 500 mg of oral rosemary twice a day for one month reduced anxiety and enhanced cognition and sleep quality in college students when compared to a placebo.
Another two-month research of 66 industrial workers found that those who drank 2 teaspoons (4 grams) of rosemary in 2/3 cup (150 ml) of water every day felt much less burnt out at work than those who drank nothing. In fact, it appears that even smelling rosemary is healthy. Inhaling rosemary scent for 4-10 minutes before a mental exam increased focus, performance, and mood in one research of 20 healthy young people. Furthermore, breathing rosemary oil boosted brain activity and enhanced happiness in a study of 20 healthy people. After inhaling the oil, participants' activity level, blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing rate rose.
