May protect vision and eye health
While research on rosemary tea and eye health is limited, there is evidence that specific chemicals in the tea may assist your eyes. According to animal research, combining rosemary extract with other oral therapies can reduce the advancement of age-related eye disorders (AREDs). One research found that adding rosemary extract to conventional therapies like zinc oxide and other AREDs antioxidant combinations helped reduce age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a prevalent eyesight problem.
Other animals and experimental research show that the rosmarinic acid in rosemary both delays the start and lessens the severity of cataracts (the progressive opaqueness of the eye that leads to blindness). Remember that most research on rosemary and eye health has employed concentrated extracts, making it difficult to estimate what effect rosemary tea may have and how much you would need to consume to get these advantages.
