Meskerem Ethiopian

The restaurant, which opened in March 2007, is known for its superb and authentic Ethiopian cuisine. The restaurant is named after the Ethiopian calendar's first month. It is Ethiopia's most popular month since it marks the conclusion of the three-month rainy season and the start of a new year with bright and beautiful weather. Meskerem is a sign for all people of a new beginning, new life, joy, and hope renewal.

Meals are served in the traditional manner, atop flatbread and without utensils, with ingredients sourced from a shared meal. Although Ethiopian foods are tasty and spicy, Meskerem prepares them in such a way that they are not overwhelming to the average American palate. Chicken, steak, and fish, as well as green beans, lentils, cabbage, and chick peas, will be on the menu.
