Metrograph
Metrograph ranks 3rd in the list of best dine-in movie theaters in NYC. Metrograph is the ultimate destination for prestigious film and content enthusiasts. Metrograph represents a unique, curated world of cinema, reminiscent of the great New York movie theaters of the 1920s and the Commissaries of Hollywood Studio back lots, a world inhabited by movie professionals screening their work, holding meetings, watching films, and collaborating together.
Metrograph NYC, which opened in 2016 at 7 Ludlow Street, is an independent movie theater that focuses on premieres, rare archival screenings (35mm and digital), and special Q&As for a diverse range of audiences, filmmakers, and communities. The Metrograph NYC has an on-site restaurant, The Commissary, as well as a bookstore. Metrograph Pictures, which debuted in 2019, is an independent distribution company focused on quality and curation. Restorations such as A Bigger Splash (1973), Downtown 81 (1981/2001), and Hyenas (1992) have been acquired and released to date. Metrograph At Home will be available in July 2020, bringing our signature curation to a national audience. Films are available as Live and Ticketed Streams, with many exclusive to Members.
