My Love from the Star (2013)
My Love from the Star is a South Korean fantasy romantic comedy television series directed by Jang Tae-yoo and written by Park Ji-eun. Jun Ji-hyun, Kim Soo-hyun, Park Hae-jin, Yoo In-na, Shin Sung-rok, and Ahn Jae-hyun feature in the film, which is produced by Choi Moon-suk and Moon Bo-mi. It portrays the story of an extraterrestrial creature that lands on Earth in 1609 during the Joseon Dynasty and falls in love with a top female actress 400 years later.
Do Min-joon (Kim Soo-hyun) is an extraterrestrial that arrived on Earth during the Joseon Dynasty in 1609. He saves a girl called Seo Yi-hwa from a cliff and so misses his return voyage to his home planet, leaving him trapped on Earth for the next four centuries. He possesses a nearly human appearance, improved physical talents such as eyesight, hearing, and speed, and a cynical, jaded attitude toward humans. Min-joon never ages and must assume a new identity every 10 years; he has worked as a doctor, astronomer, lawyer, banker, and is currently a college lecturer.
