Naomi Campbell
Naomi Campbell was discovered at the age of 15 and quickly became one of the most famous models of the late 1980s and 1990s. The fashion industry and the international press dubbed her a supermodel. Campbell dabbled in a variety of other endeavors in addition to modeling. She published an R&B studio album, appeared in a few films and television shows, and even took part in the reality show The Face. She grew up in Rome after being born in South London to a Jamaican dancer. Her mother worked as a contemporary dancer in the city.
Campbell had her first public appearance in a music video for Bob Marley's song Is This Love when she was seven years old, in 1978. She subsequently tap-danced in the music video for Culture Club's song, I'll Tumble 4 Ya when she was 12 years old. In 1986, Beth Boldt discovered her while window-shopping. Beth helped her establish a modeling career as the CEO of Synchro Model Agency. She was on the cover of British Elle before she was 16 years old.
