Tyra Banks
Tyra Banks, often known as BanX, was born in 1973 and is one of the most influential models in the world. After retiring from modeling, the American television personality, model, businesswoman, producer, and actor has enjoyed even greater success. Tyra began her profession when she was 15 years old. She is still the only African-American woman to grace the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Tyra was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1997 through 2005.
Tyra first featured in the comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1993, and then in the 1995 film Higher Learning. She has appeared in a few minor parts in films and television shows. Banks has had success as a writer and producer in addition to her modeling career. She was the host and producer of America's Next Top Model, as well as the author of the adult book Modelland. She received a post as a personal branding guest professor at Stanford University in August 2016.
