Nara began her career as an acting trainee at Fantagio Entertainment. Her first television appearance was as a stewardess in the SBS drama Take Care of Us, Captain. Her breakthrough performance, however, came in the SBS romantic comedy-drama Suspicious Partner.
She starred in the melodrama My Mister a year later, followed by the SBS legal drama Your Honor. Nara's breakthrough role came in 2019 with the KBS medical prison drama Doctor Prisoner. She most recently appeared in the Netflix hit Korean drama Itaewon Class, which is based on a Korean webtoon of the same name.
