NBC News

The news division of the American broadcast television network NBC is known as NBC News. The division is part of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, which is a division of NBCUniversal, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Comcast. The various operations of the news division report to NBC News President Noah Oppenheim. The NBCUniversal News Group also includes MSNBC, the network's 24-hour general news channel; the business and consumer news channels CNBC and CNBC World; Noticias Telemundo in Spanish; and Sky News in the United Kingdom.

On February 21, 1940, NBC News aired the first regularly scheduled news program in American broadcast television history. The group's broadcasts are produced and broadcast from NBCUniversal's headquarters in New York City, 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The division is in charge of America's number-one-rated newscast, NBC Nightly News; the world's first of its genre morning television program, Today; and the longest-running television series in American history, Meet the Press, a Sunday morning program of interviews with newsmakers. NBC News also provides online access to 70 years of rare historic footage from the NBCUniversal Archives.
