The Washington Times is a daily newspaper published in Washington, D.C., that covers general-interest topics with a special emphasis on national politics. Its daily broadsheet is distributed throughout the District of Columbia as well as parts of Maryland and Virginia. There is also a weekly tabloid edition aimed at a national audience. The Washington Times was one of the first American broadsheets to print a full-color front page.

The Washington Times was founded on May 17, 1982, by Sun Myung Moon, the leader of the Unification Movement, and was owned until 2010 by News World Communications, Moon's international media conglomerate. It is currently owned by Operations Holdings, a company affiliated with the Unification movement. The Washington Times has been known for its conservative political stance throughout its history, supporting the policies of Republican presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump.

Reagan read The Washington Times every day. It has published a number of widely circulated columns that challenge the scientific consensus on a variety of environmental issues. It has sparked outrage by publishing racist content, such as conspiracy theories about US President Barack Obama as well as by advocating for neo-Confederate historical revisionism
