Novartis International AG is a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical corporation headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. It is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies by both market capitalization and sales. Novartis manufactures clozapine, diclofenac, carbamazepine, valsartan, etc.

Novartis, Switzerland's second-largest pharmaceutical corporation, has been the face of the pharmaceutical business for over 25 years. In 2020, the principal maker of the most well-known pharmaceuticals on the market brought in more than $48 billion in revenue, up 3% from 2019. Novartis AG also holds a 33.3% stake in Roche. However, it does not control Roche. Novartis also owned 24.9% of Idenix Pharmaceuticals prior to its sale to Merck & Co., Inc.
