Oeschinensee
Oeschinensee is a stunning small lake that is widely regarded as the most beautiful in the Alps. It is also designated as a Unesco World Heritage Site. The lake's waters are fed by the melting glaciers of the 3,000-meter-high Blüemlisalp, Oeschinenhorn, Fründenhorn, and Doldenhorn. Because the ice has not yet melted, the lake water is fairly tiny in May. You may climb here very easily from late spring until the end of October if you are willing to climb roughly 4km.
Other lakes may be larger, but few can dare to compete with Oeschinensee in terms of beauty. It reflects the surrounding mountain cliffs in the quiet waters like a mirror, making it maybe the most picturesque lake in the Alps. Visitors may especially enjoy boating and wandering through the stunning environment, waterfalls, snowy mountains, and diverse animals. It allows your imagination to roam and take in the breathtaking views of the Blüemlisalp mountains.
