Places to visit in Lesotho

Despite its small size, Lesotho has a plethora of fantastic attractions where tourists can learn about the history and heritage of both the Basotho people and the Mountain Kingdom. Lesotho is known as the Mountain Kingdom because 80 percent of the country is above 1800m, with the highest point at 3482m. It's a land of steep passes, clear streams and waterfalls, tiny rustic settlements of stone and thatch rondavels clinging to mountain peaks, and blanketed shepherds keeping an eye on their flock.
