Poso Lake
The next position on the list of the most beautiful lakes in Indonesia is Poso Lake. It is the third-deepest lake in Indonesia, which is located in Central Sulawesi. At the lake's southern and northern ends, respectively, are the towns of Pendolo and Tentena, while other smaller settlements dot the shoreline. Tentena is where the lake empties into the Poso River, which then empties into the Molucca Sea.
The third largest lake in Indonesia, this lovely lake is 32 km in length and 16 km in width. Poso, whose depth exceeds 195 meters, is also listed among the world's most beautiful lakes along with Lake Toba, which enjoys international fame.
Poso Lake is extremely unusual because the lake's edge is completely encircled by white sand, giving the impression that it is a cool white sandy beach. You can motorboat around the lake while taking in the locals' fishing and fish farming activities. Near the lake, there is also Bancea Nature Tourism. It is Indonesia's largest orchid protection area.
