Segara Anak Lake
The caldera where Segara Anak is located was created by the violent volcanic eruption of Mount Samalas in 1257. On the Indonesian island of Lombok, the caldera is close to Mount Rinjani. Segara Anak, which translates to "child of the sea," alludes to how similar the blue lake is to the sea. The eastern edge of the lake's volcanic cone Gunung Barujari is what gives it its crescent form.
A stunning lake called Segara Anak may be found in the Mount Rinjani crater, specifically in the community of Sembalun Lawang on the island of Lombok in the West Nusa Tenggara region. Segara Anak was given its name because of how like the color of its blue water is to that of the sea. One of Indonesia's most stunning lakes is located at an elevation of 2,000 meters above sea level, so getting there requires some trekking.
The lake serves as a resting spot for climbers before they resume their ascent of Mount Rinjani in addition to being another tourist attraction for the mountain. There are hot springs near this lake that are said to be able to treat a number of ailments.
