Pulau Hantu
Pulau Hantu literally translates to "Ghost Island" or "Island of the Ghosts". According to local tradition, two powerful warriors engaged in the terrible conflict were converted into two islands by the gods after their deaths, Pulau Hantu Kechil (Little Ghost Island) and Pulau Hantu Besar (Big Ghost Island) (Bigger Ghost Island).
Pulau Hantu, Singapore's most popular diving destination, is a 30-minute boat ride from the mainland. This location consists of two islands, Hantu Kecil and Hantu Besar, both of which are home to a diverse array of marine species. The vibrant soft and hard corals sparkle in the sunlight, and the shallow dive provides excellent visibility. Turtles, marigold dragons, and sharks can also be seen here, particularly during the cooler months. During low tide, one can even walk between the two islands. Diving on Pulau Hantu is possible all year. For the most part of the year, the water temperature on the island remains pleasant around 28 to 29°C.
