Purbanchal University
Purbanchal University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburbs of the small city of Biratnagar (population 50,000-249,999), Province No. 1. Purbanchal University (PU), which is officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Nepal, is a large (enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational Nepalese higher education institution.
The Government of Nepal established it in 1993. Its main goal is to preserve, refine, invent, adopt, extend, and transmit knowledge in an environment that encourages free inquiry and open scholarly debate. This goal leads to the overall development of rural people, economies, and environments. Purbanchal University's academic programs are delivered through its five constituent campuses and more than 123 affiliate colleges. In its Biratnagar campus, the university owns 545 hectares of land.
Purbanchal University (PU) provides programs and courses that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, doctorate degrees master's degrees in a variety of fields of study. This 27-year-old Nepalese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy that is based on entrance examinations as well as students' previous academic records and grades.
