Pyšný štít
Pyšný štít, historically also known as Lastovičia veža, is the fourth highest peak in the High Tatras of Slovakia, standing at 2621 m above sea level. It is situated on a ridge halfway between Barani sedlo and Lomnický štít. Malý Pyšný štít is nearby, and between the two peaks is a little ten-meter-high rock tower known as Loktibrada.
Pyšný štít, like the other peaks on the ridge, is inaccessible to tourists, except for its famous neighbor, Lomnický štít, to which a cable car leads. The only official way to reach the peak is to climb or trek with a licensed mountain guide.
Téry's cottage in Malá Studená dolina is usually where the path to the peak begins. You can either stay here or go to Zamkovského chat, which is a little further down. The mountain leader has already decided on the next step based on the existing conditions. You can register in the top book and enjoy the circular panorama at the top (2627 m). The view from the top is spectacular!
