Qurbon Hayit
Qurbon Hayit, a Moslem religious feast, is one of the most religious festivals in the world. The origins of this celebration may be traced back to prophet Ibrohim, who, in honor of his faith, wanted to sacrifice his own son to "Allah," but his acts caused kind spirits to intervene and tell him to sacrifice other animals such as sheep, camels, and so on. Since then, all Moslems have been sacrificing animals throughout these holidays.
The celebration lasts three days, and on these days, all Moslems celebrate with their families, natives, and close friends. During the holidays, people visit relatives and friends, as well as those who are ill and in need of assistance. The first day of the holiday Qurbon Hayit is not regarded as a working day, and all establishments are closed on this day.
