Ravangla
The best place to go on vacation is Ravangla, a little town in South Sikkim with a breathtaking vista of high-forested hills and undulating valleys punctuated by hamlet cottages. A modest hermitage is housed in Ravangla, which is located at the foot of Menam hill. The stunning view of the snow-covered peaks is this town's greatest draw. It is situated on the ridge dividing the Teesta valley from the Rangit valley. Kanchenjungha, along with its sibling peaks Pandim, Kabru, Sinialchu, and many others, can be seen in stunning detail from Ravangla. Ravangla is a site worth visiting because of its vast natural diversity, unusual flora and fauna in dense forest, majestic snow mountains, waterfalls, picturesque tea gardens, calm villages, ethnic culture, old monasteries, and fresh environment.
At a height of 7000 feet, Ravangla offers a clear and breathtaking view of the Greater Himalayas. It is located on the cliff between Maenam and Tendong Hill. Every year during the months of August and September, Ravangla conducts the Pang Lhabsol festival in a superb manner. The Rayong dawn viewpoint, located 8 kilometers from Damthang, offers a stunning view of the sun's first rays hitting snow-capped mountains. Yangang, Tinkitam, Kewzing, Barfung, and Bakhim, two adjoining Lepcha and Bhutia villages, are ideal for quick village tours.
