Yuksom
Sikkim's Western area contains the lovely settlement of Yuksom, which is well-recognized for its outstanding natural beauty. The settlement of Yuksom is tucked away in the middle of mountains covered with luxuriant green flora, not far from the Kanchenjunga National Park. The town offers access to Mount Kanchenjunga's base camp. As a result, Yuksom is a popular tourist destination and the starting point for some of Sikkim's most challenging treks. You may visit a number of intriguing tourist destinations nearby, and the local food is definitely worth trying.
The Sikkimese place a great deal of historical significance on Yuksom village because it was here that the first Chogyal was crowned in 1642. The Dubdi and Sangachoeling monasteries, the earliest to be built in Sikkim, are just two of the places of religious and historical interest in Yuksom. Another fantastic tourist feature of the area is the magnificent Khecheopalri Lake, which the Sikkimese regard as holy. The main trailhead for the Khangchendzonga Trek is the picturesque town of Yuksom, which is historic and endearing but doesn't provide particularly clear views of the high mountains.
