Rokh
Rok Hwang, a designer from Seoul, spent a number of years designing ready-to-wear for Celine (including working under Phoebe Philo in 2017). He then went on to work as a designer for Chloé and Louis Vuitton before starting his own company, Rokh. Hwang was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor's in menswear and a Master's in womenswear from the famed Central Saint Martins in London in 2004. This brand's style has been somewhat impacted by the main stylists' expertise in working alongside the biggest fashion brands in the world. Typically, brown, beige, and black are their primary colors... extremely appropriate in the fall. Rokh has 191K Instagram followers, making it one of the most well-known Korean fashion labels.
Rokh's journey began in 2016, but it wasn't until Hwang received the LVMH Special Prize Award in 2018 that he attained widespread acclaim and made his runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in February 2019. Rokh utilizes inventive classics, like a stack of belts atop a work suit, to bridge the gap between staple and statement pieces. These parallels were married, and this is what gave Rokh its devoted fan base.
