Sbanken ASA is a Bergen-based Norwegian online bank. Øyvind Thomassen is the CEO

On April 27, 2000, Skandia established the bank as a branch of its existing bank in Sweden, Skandiabanken, and it became Norway's first online-only bank. Skandiabanken Norway was spun out from Skandiabanken Sweden and the rest of the Skandia group in 2015, becoming Skandiabanken ASA, and was renamed Sbanken ASA on November 6, 2017.

Sbanken had 460,000 customers in August 2020 and total assets of around 93 billion as of 31 December, 2019. The bank employs about 400 people.

Sbanken ASA is a publicly traded company on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In and by the summer of 2022, following decisions made by the Norwegian government bureau for Complaints on decisions made by the Norwegian government Department for Commerce and Competition, the Norwegian bank giant DNB (Den Norske Bank) was finally allowed to buy and take over its competitor, despite the Norwegian government office for competition prohibiting the takeover earlier in the year and stopping the takeover in 2021.
