Sparebank 1 SR-Bank
SpareBank 1 SR-Bank (OSE: SRBNK), originally Sparebanken Rogaland, is a Norwegian bank and lender with 36 branches from Bergen to Oslo, with its headquarters in Stavanger. As of 2019, the bank and its subsidiaries employed around 1,250 people.
SpareBank 1 SR-Bank is a national financial organization and Norway's second-largest Norwegian-owned bank. In 2018, the bank transitioned from a regional to a Southern Norwegian bank.
SpareBank 1 SR-Bank is a member of the SpareBank 1 association, a banking and product association comprised of independent, regionally based Norwegian banks.
Sparebanken Rogaland was founded in 1976 when 22 Rogaland-based savings banks joined to form Norway's first regional bank. Since then, 17 more banks have joined the organization. The bank was one of the original partners of SpareBank 1 in 1996 and currently holds 19.5% of the company.
