Shadows House

The Shadows, distinguished by their jet-black appearance and a tendency to release soot when disturbed, form a noble family residing in an immense mansion nestled deep within the mountains, far removed from other human settlements. As a Shadow child nears adulthood, they are paired with a Living Doll, serving not only as their attendant but also as their alter ego—the faces they might have had if not for their unique complexion.

The main character of "Shadows House," Emilico, a lively and recently created Doll, attends to her soft-spoken master, Kate. Despite their differing personalities, Emilico strives to fulfill her master's needs. As she is involved more and more with her role and responsibilities, Emilico encounters other Dolls and their respective masters, gradually uncovering the purpose of her existence.

One of the rules governing all Dolls is, "Do not fret over trivial matters." Yet, how can the perpetually curious Emilico adhere to this when faced with the profound secrets concealed within the Shadows House?
