Sliema
The neighbourhood of Sliema is one of the nicest places to stay in Malta, located opposite Valletta on the other side of the bay that hugs small Manoel Island. This city had really developed as a town during British rule (in the second half of the 19th century). Travellers will find plenty to keep them active in Sliema, with easy ferry access, stunning views from Tigne Point, and elegant golden-stone structures like Stella Maris Church.
Sliema is one of the busiest commercial and urban hubs on the island of Malta, offering a diverse range of hotels, restaurants, pubs, and shops. The city is located on a peninsula directly over the sea from Valletta, providing stunning views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. There are various beaches where you may swim and sunbathe, as well as diving schools for those who are interested. The Sliema Front promenade runs along the coast and is a wonderful place to take a daytime stroll or a romantic moonlit stroll.
