The Blue Lagoon is a breathtaking image of crystal-clear turquoise waves lapping over a white-sand seabed that has a nearly tropical feel to it. Because the water is temperate, there are no waves, and the shallow end is safe enough for children, this expansive lagoon provides the appearance of being a giant swimming pool.

The lagoon's centre is cordoned off to boats, making it ideal for swimming, splashing around, and floating in inflatable tubes. The lagoon is the equivalent of many Olympic-sized swimming pools in terms of length. Crossing the cove to the tiny beach on the opposite side is possible for strong swimmers. A tiny beach with umbrellas and lounge chairs is offered for rent at the lagoon. Sunbathing on the searing hot rocky mountainside is another alternative. Tourists can at least expect refreshment stands to be erected up around the lagoon.

From May to October, visitors can stay at the Comino Hotel (the island's only hotel) to experience the Blue Lagoon without the crowds and have a relaxing vacation. Nature hikes, hiking, and water sports like snorkelling and scuba diving are among the activities available on Comino Island.

The UNESCO-listed Tarxien Temples, which comprise four megalithic complexes, are Malta's largest and best-preserved prehistoric cult sites. The site, which was excavated in 1914 and covers a total area of 5,400 square meters, showcases the aesthetic achievements of Malta's mysterious prehistoric society between 3,600 BC and 2,500 BC during the "Temple Period" (Late Neolithic Period).

The Tarxien Temples features outstanding copies of stone reliefs and sculptures discovered here; the originals are on show at the National Museum of Archeology in Valletta. Surprisingly elaborate spiral designs and animal motifs adorn the stone walls of the four adjoining temples. The South Temple, with its colourful reliefs depicting goats, pigs, bulls, and a ram, houses the largest collection of art. A statue of a fertility goddess with powerful legs, petite dainty feet, and a pleated skirt is also on display.

The East Temple is made up of solid slab walls with oracle holes that may be seen. The Central Temple has a six-apse architectural layout and a technically advanced arched roof. Notably, the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum is within walking distance of the Tarxien Temple's ancient monument. Both places are easily accessible in a single day.

St. Julian's, also known as San Giljan, is a town on the Maltese coast north of Valletta that is known for its vibrant nightlife and tourism attractions.
