Snam
Italian energy infrastructure provider Snam was established on October 30, 1941. With practically all of Italy's transportation infrastructure under its control. Snam is the country's primary operator for the transportation and distribution of natural gas. With a storage capacity of more than 20 billion cubic meters, including foreign activities, the company is the first in Europe and one of the major players in gas recycling. Snam, one of the major regulated gas firms in Europe, ranks third in gas recycling and first in gas storage and transportation in Italy. In order to lessen its environmental effect and decarbonize, Snam also plans to invest in new energy conversion firms in the fields of sustainable mobility, energy efficiency, and renewable gases like biomethane and hydrogen. By 2040, the corporation wants to be carbon neutral.
Snam recognized the necessity to adapt its IT strategy in order to maintain business continuity in the quickly changing energy market. As a result, Snam decided to combine all of its workload automation technologies and use Control-M, the top application and data workflow orchestration platform from BMC, entirely. With the successful Control-M transfer, Snam will be able to meet strict regulatory standards while offering customers premium 24x7 business services. The organization now has a single platform to coordinate all the data and application workflows supporting its business services and infrastructure that is mission-critical.
