Sopoong
Listed as the Best Korean Restaurant by Trip Advisor, Sopoong is always crowded with a steady stream of people entering to eat a meal. The interior of the restaurant is simply decorated with a quote in Korean written on the wall, translated to English as “Good Food Reminds Me of Mom”. The restaurant has a welcoming facade and the ambience is casual. It seems to attract the working crowd as a venue for lunch and the students from the nearby university can also be found enjoying some Korean dishes.
This restaurant also provides good kimchi, a mainstay of Korean cuisine. Try their Kimchi Hot Pot, Bulgogi, and Bibimbap dishes. Doenjang Jjigae (soybean paste stew) is a light and nourishing soup on the menu. It includes three distinct side dishes as well as a bowl of rice. They also have the Jajangmyeon which is served with udon noodles. This too comes with three side dishes. The pajeon, which is pretty tasty and goes well with the sauce, is also served to complement the main courses. Mandu (dumplings) are plump and delectable. It's fun to combine different vegetables and eat them all at once to savor the different textures.
