St. Constantine's International School
St. Constantine’s International is a school where boys and girls can go to learn. Some students come to school during the day and stay overnight. There are 580 students in total, and they come from more than 30 different countries. The school has separate parts for young kids (ages 3-4), older kids in primary school (Years 1-6), and even bigger kids in secondary school (Years 7-13). The school is split into two campuses, like two different parts of the school.
The little ones in Nursery and Reception follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). In primary and secondary school, St. Constantine’s uses the Cambridge Curriculum, a way of teaching and learning. As students age, they study different things like the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and even the English A-Level Examination in their later years.
St. Constantine’s International has been around for a long time, starting in 1952. It was created by people from Greece who came to East Africa long ago. Even though the school is not connected to any particular religion, there is a Greek Orthodox Church on the immense campus where people from the local community go on Sundays.
In 2022, St. Constantine’s International will be celebrating its 70th birthday! It's the oldest international school in Tanzania and the biggest one in the northern part of the country. St. Constantine’s keeps growing because it's a happy place where students are taught well. The teachers challenge students daily with exciting things to learn, helping them become strong and independent learners. This way, students are ready for life in the twenty-first century and can be leaders in our big world.
