Stunning Landscapes

For hikers and photographers alike, Morocco's varied landscapes are a treasure. Awe-inspiring views of Berber settlements tucked away in lush green valleys and deep-red hills may be found in the High Atlas Mountains. The highest point of Morocco's High Atlas Mountains, Mount Toubkal, is 4167 meters above sea level and is perfect for those with a sense of adventure. To tour Morocco's mountainous terrain, though, you don't have to be in top physical condition. Day trips to the adjacent Berber settlements and the Ourika Valley involve less physical effort but are just as magnificent.

The Atlas Mountains' cultivated hills give way to rough, arid hills littered with the remains of ancient kasbahs as you move closer to the desert region. To reach the Saharan dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, you can travel from here through the ancient trade routes. Ait Benhaddou, the Todra Gorges, the Draa Valley, and the Valley of Roses are a few of the noteworthy locations along the route. Join a camel journey at dusk and spend the night in a Bedouin tent for the ultimate desert experience. Nothing is more motivational than seeing the first sunbeams illuminate the sea of sand.
