Suailoro Beach, Suai Loro
Suailoro Beach is located on Timor-south Leste's coast in Suai Loro. This vast and unspoiled dark sandy beach offers breathtaking views against a backdrop of verdant forests. The warm weather provides the ideal setting for sunbathing and relaxing. A few restaurants are nearby. The beach is never crowded, and the atmosphere is always serene and peaceful.
Suai, 30 kilometers into East Timor, is the first city you'll reach if you use the southern border crossing with West Timor. You can visit the ruins of a small Portuguese fort and eat fresh fish in one of the many restaurant huts along the beach. You'll see a few fishermen bringing in their catch for the day, and you can watch locals fishing in the mangroves as the tide goes out.
Because there aren't many tourists here, you'll most likely be invited to sit down, talk and take a few photos. If you have some free time, go over to the SOLS and help students practice their English.
