A worldwide conglomerate of Japanese brewing and distilling companies is called Suntory Holdings Limited. It is one of the oldest enterprises in Japan that distributes alcoholic beverages and creates Japanese whisky, having been founded in 1899. The corporation now produces soft drinks and runs sandwich chains in addition to its other lines of operation.


With the acquisition of Beam, Inc. in 2014, it expanded globally and rose to the position of third-largest distiller in the world. Dojimahama 2-chome, Kita-ku, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture is where Suntory's headquarters are located. The company in charge of development outside of Japan is Suntory Beverage & Food Limited (Santor shokuhin int'nashonaru Kabushiki-gaisha), a division of Suntory.
