Tachibana Kanade

One of the pupils at the Afterlife school who is rumored to be the Student Council President is Kanade Tachibana, better known as Angel by the Afterlife Battle Front. Kanade is charged with making sure that all of the students can deal with their personal issues in her capacity as the student council president of the school. As a result of this inevitable conflict with Yuri's resolve to hold God accountable for her struggles in life, the Afterlife Battle Front decides to make her one of its initial targets.

In terms of her physical appearance, Kanade doesn't seem much more dumb than the average person, but this is in stark contrast to the lack of emotion she consistently displays, especially during encounters with the SSS where she frequently sustains damage. She rarely displays any visible emotion, making it challenging to discern what she is thinking. It's also hard to tell if she's conscious because she doesn't express herself, yet she turns out to be rather brilliant.

She enjoys eating Mapo Tofu and will even break the rules at school to do so. At the end of the series, she incorporates it into her own school anthem. She tends to her garden in her free time. She genuinely belonged to the gardening club that was abolished. She didn't know it till Otonashi told her that she had lately become acquainted with him. She still allows him to call her by her first name, Kanade Tachibana, and appears to just interact with and be around him, despite the fact that this did little to change her personality.
