Take a trip across Dubai Creek

Take an abra, hand over a dirham, and cruise across the Creek in comfort. It's a short trek to the other side, but it'll bring you back to the heart of the city. One of the greatest things to do in Dubai if you want to feel real and ancient. Dubai Creek is a natural saltwater creek, tidal inlet, and watercourse or canal located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It stretches for roughly 9 miles (14 kilometers) inwards, forming a natural harbor that has long been utilized for commerce and transportation.

The creek underwent substantial development in the 1950s, including dredging and the installation of breakwaters. A number of bridges allow cars to cross the stream, and abras are employed as taxis. The creek's banks and path are home to major government, commercial, and residential sectors. Along the stream, there are a variety of tourist attractions and hotels. The Deira Twin Towers, the former Dubai Creek Tower, the Sheraton Dubai Creek, the National Bank of Dubai, and the Chamber of Commerce are among the most notable structures along the Deira side of the Creek. Dubai Creek Park, one of the largest parks in Dubai, is located on the other side of Al Maktoum Bridge along Dubai Creek.
