Taprobane Reefs
The Taprobane reefs are noted for huge coral domes imbedded in the bed, among other marine flora, and are regarded as one of the most pristine diving destinations in the world and one of the Best Dive Spots in Sri Lanka. Large rays and schooling fish abound at this spot, so you'll have a fantastic diving experience swimming alongside some of the tiniest marine species.
This is truly a one-of-a-kind dive location that has been photographed all around the world. Swami Rock(Taprobane Reefs) is home to a diverse range of marine life, including huge rays and schools fish, as well as monuments from the 17th-century temple that was destroyed here. There are several dive sites in the vicinity where you can see underwater stonework and other things. These locations were mentioned in Arthur C Clarke's 1957 book "The Reefs of Taprobane." Dolphin and whale viewing is becoming increasingly popular in the Trincomalee area.
