Tha Falang lake

Tha Falang is one of the top attractions in the Khammouane Province, located 16km northeast of Thakhek along route 12 to Mahaxay. On the left, there is a 2-kilometer route that can be accessed by a mountain bike or 4-wheel drive (but not during the rainy season).

When the water level is high, the road transforms into a stream, making it only accessible by boat. It's not really a lake next to that; it's just a scenic section of the river where you may go swimming (which is bloody cold if it rains). This is a really good place to relax. The lake water is very beautiful, it is so clear that you can see a lot of fish under the clear water. Besides, the riverside restaurant offers a variety of food and drinks. It was a nice swim with the family. Tha Falang lake deserves to be one of the most beautiful lakes in Laos.
