Thac Ba Lake
One of the three largest man-made lakes in Vietnam, Thac Ba Lake is vast. Water for the Thac Ba hydropower facility in the province of Yen Bai comes from Thac Ba Lake. 180 kilometers northwest on National Highway 2 or Highway 32 will bring you to the lake. More than 1300 islands in the lake make up more than 23,000 hectares of the entire area. The lake, which has a maximum width of 10 km and a length of 80 km, was made possible by Vietnam's first hydroelectric power plant. With its wooded banks and islands, the lake also guarantees that the area is exceptionally green.
Thac Ba Lake is not just a stunning natural setting; it is also a well-known historical relic that has been designated as a complex of national cultural and historical relics since 1996. Thac Ba lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Vietnam.
