The Biggest Baobab

The baobab, also known as the bottle tree, is also referred to as "reniala" in the Malagasy language, which means "mother of the forest." In Madagascar, where they make up a sizable forest in semi-arid areas in the south, six of the eight species of baobab known to exist can be found. Some baobabs may grow to heights of 29.52 ft (30 meters) and circumferences of 98.4 ft (9 meters). No matter your size, these natural jewels are enough to make you realize how small you are.

For some species, the baobab trunk can reach 30 meters in height and a diameter of up to 9 meters. According to legend, the baobab's unusual shape results from its being planted with its roots pointing upwards and upside down.. Admire the world's only baobab tree forest around 19 kilometers from Morondava. This group of twelve trees creates a distinctive and elegant environment. The majority of these baobabs date back more than 800 years and are a remnant of the island's once-prolific thick forests. There you can observe the most exquisite examples in a breathtaking setting.
