The Cathedral of Beira & Ruins of the Fort in Sofala
The cathedral was built with stones from the ruins of a fort in Sofala (Fort San Gaetano). It is a beautiful work of architectural architecture. Fort San Gaetano was built in the early 16th century (1501) and is believed to be the earliest European construction built in all of southern Africa. This major cultural site in Mozambique is a must-see for everyone interested in learning about the country's history.
