The cathedral was built with stones from the ruins of a fort in Sofala (Fort San Gaetano). It is a beautiful work of architectural architecture. As you enter the Mercado Municipal, the brilliant hub of colors — everywhere – is the first thing that strikes you. From the women's cabanas to the multitude of commodities on display: vegetables, baskets, and spices, everything is nicely laid up and ready to catch your eye. Buy some spices to take home and munch on a bag of their excellent cashew nuts. This antique structure in Mozambique is over 100 years old and provides a lovely backdrop for your shopping.
