The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S.Lewis
The Chronicles of Narnia is a seven-volume fantasy series by author C. S. Lewis. This is considered classic children's literature and is the author's most famous work. Inspiration for the series is drawn from many sources: in addition to adapting traditional Christian themes, characters and ideas are generously borrowed from Greek and Roman mythology as well as old tales. The series has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide in 47 languages. The series was written by Lewis between 1949 and 1954, illustrated by Pauline Baynes, and first published in London from October 1950 to September 1956.
