The Great Doctor
Faith (also known as The Great Doctor) is a South Korean television drama that premiered in 2012 and starred Lee Min-ho and Kim Hee-sun. From August 13 through October 30, 2012, it aired on SBS on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 (KST) for 24 episodes. It tells the story of a modern-day plastic surgeon who is abducted and sent back in time to the Goryeo era, 700 years ago, where she falls in love with her abductor, a warrior who is the head of the royal guard.
The Great Doctor stars Lee Min-ho (also known as Faith). In contrast to other fantasy Korean drama series, this one includes time travel as well as magical character skills. He plays Choi Young, the commander of the Royal Guards, who is charged with journeying via a supernatural portal to find the "heaven's doctor" in order to save the queen's life. When he enters the portal, he travels through time to present-day Korea, where he pulls a doctor called Yoo Eun-soo (played by Kim Hee-sun) who he believes is the "heaven's doctor."
