The Tree Room
The Tree Room is another long-standing restaurant in Utah's dining scene. The Tree Room is the essence of rustic beauty, nestled among breathtaking mountains at the base of Sundance ski resort. With comfortable fireplaces, living trees coming up through the floorboards, and Native American blankets and art covering the walls, the restaurant feels like an elegant log cabin. The menu delivers updated American meals with a distinct western flavor, with a focus on sustainable, organic, and local fare. Trout amandine is served with pickled turnip and haricot verts, and a burnt rosemary panna cotta is presented with the beet salad. The Tree Room is really a one-of-a-kind and delectable Utah experience.
Kachina dolls, pottery, big blankets, and images from Redford's films adorn the tables. A big fireplace, next to the tree, incorporates unique stone/concrete designed and built by Robert Redford himself.
The structure is created with huge windows to allow for natural sunlight and views of the surrounding landscape, which are especially wonderful when there is drifting snow and the changing colors of the seasons. In a rustic Western, Rocky Mountain environment, the dining concept combines sophisticated French skills with American comfort.
