Thousands of Egyptian Divorces Listed Candy Crush as a Cause
If this isn't depressing news, we're not sure what is. People enjoy playing phone games, particularly those that require crushing striped candies and pastries. It seems that getting hooked into the delectable world of sweets is harming our lives more than we anticipated. Candy Crush has long been a fan favorite.
You can't deny that Candy Crush has been a very successful game, whether you like it or not. It had over a quarter of a billion gamers and had over $1 billion in revenue in just 2020. Candy Crush has been mentioned in countless Egyptian divorces, proving that all that money and all those gamers may be a little too engrossed in the game. And by numerous, we mean that there were anywhere between 8,000 and 17,000 of them.
Furthermore, the 250,000 additional divorces attributed to PlayStation are a drop in the ocean in comparison. Due to gambling and other more conventional problems, Egypt now has the highest divorce rate in the world (at 40%).
