Tierra Colorada
Chef Rodolfo Angenscheidt opened Tierra Colorada in 2010 with the goal of providing his guests with a unique gastronomic experience along with the best Paraguayan goods. Rodolfo Angenscheidt's colorful and inventive, yet hearty, dishes are on a mission to showcase the greatest Paraguayan flavors and ingredients. The restaurant serves a light, modern cuisine with a mix of European and South American influences, as well as natural delicacies like delectable cassava. Meat and fish are the attractions here, with dishes like Surub fish with moringa herbs and tangerine and 28-day grass-fed Paraguayan beef. The menu changes with the seasons and features ingredients accessible at farmers' markets, in keeping with the restaurant's mission.
Tierra Colorada's serene environment, with its huge windows, lush plants, and wooden furnishings, is the ideal setting for a warm Paraguayan evening. There's also a large wine list focusing on South America. Food servings are generous, and some of Angenscheidt's dishes are inspired by historic tribal recipes. In 2016, the restaurant was named to Latin America's 50 Best list.
